I am passionate about supporting you to better understand what sits beneath your current struggles, and to work together to develop practical, workable ways of managing life’s challenges.
Through my clinical experience, I have come to appreciate both how much we share as human beings and how each person's experiences are shaped by their unique cultural and social context, as well as the ways they have learned to cope with adversity. I take a personalised, client-centred approach to therapy, ensuring that our work together is guided by your individual needs, values, and goals.
I place strong emphasis on creating a safe, respectful, and confidential space where you can feel heard, supported, and understood. I believe that a warm, collaborative therapeutic relationship is central to effective therapy, and research consistently shows that this relationship is one of the strongest predictors of positive therapeutic outcomes.
I am trained in a range of evidence-based psychological therapy models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and third-wave approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based approaches. I am also trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy and humanistic approaches, including person-centred and existential therapy. More recently, I have qualified as an EMDR practitioner and offer EMDR as part of my work to support individuals experiencing PTSD and complex trauma. My clinical approach is integrative and formulation-led, allowing me to adapt evidence-based methods to the individual needs and goals of each client.

I began my career in the NHS, where I gained invaluable clinical experience and skills working with clients experiencing severe and enduringmental health difficulties. During the early stages of my training as a counselling psychologist, I worked in a psychiatric hospital providing psychological support to inpatients. I later moved into community-based services, offering a range of psychological therapies to both individuals and groups.
For the past 10 years, I have worked in the private sector. My work has primarily focused on supporting individuals experiencing different forms of anxiety, including within the context of high-pressure and demanding work environments. I have a strong clinical interest in anxiety disorders across a range of life contexts.
